Zonta Toronto works with White Ribbon to show our commitment for ending violence against women on several initiatives
The annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser, which is a one-mile walk through Toronto’s financial district in heels. This year’s walk is on May 29, 2019 starting in David Peacaut Square 215 King Street West. White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end violence against women. Starting in 1991, White Ribbon asked men to wear white ribbons as a pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and girls. Since then the White Ribbon has spread to more than 60 countries around the world.
